Casework and Your Constituents

Big Ben

With record numbers of new MPs entering Parliament in 2024, the APPG on Access to Justice has updated the Casework and your Constituents Guide.

This Guide hopes to demystify some of the more opaque elements of casework, and support MPs, caseworkers and constituents in signposting to advice services and support organisations throughout England and Wales.

The Guide covers the following topics:

•    Setting up your advice surgery
•    Signposting to advice for constituents
•    Qualification for legal aid
•    Advice sector options for constituents

The updated version of this Guide would not be possible without the help of Linklaters LLP.

The APPG offers training to both MPs and their Caseworkers on a variety of topics.
